Evaluation & Treatment

What can I expect from the Pelvic Floor PT evaluation?

During the first visit, we will take a thorough history including your primary concerns and any functional limitations you have. An assessment of movement and special tests of your muscles and joints will be performed focusing on the areas of concern and overall function.

An internal assessment of the pelvic muscles (through the vaginal canal) may be valuable. You have the option to choose or refuse any part of the examination or treatment with which you don’t feel comfortable.

After the assessment, we will discuss a plan of care to address your symptoms and provide some treatment as well as education.

This appointment will last 1.5-2 hours.
